Iceland is a world away from here and on so many levels. I’m going to tell you a few hard truths about a trip to the land of ice and fire. The must dos – and the don’ts and plenty of money-saving tips to take the sting out of it all. Firstly it’s a big island so you’ll not see all of it in one trip unless you’re planning to hire a camper van and go exploring for two weeks. Most travellers base themselves in the capital city of Reykjavik and we did the same. A new location for us, we were super excited to explore and sample all thats on offer. Although it’s a large island, it has a population of just 375,000 people – and half of the island’s inhabitants live in the city and surrounding areas.Read more in the February issue…
