The September issue of IHIL is jam packed with interior inspiration. We take a look at living rooms, with expert advice on the latest trends. We aim to bring you key pieces that offer the perfect combination of style, comfort and functionality, so that the entire family can enjoy this busy room of the home. Our office spaces feature comes just in time for ‘back to school’, so you can get your home well equipped for homeworks! Whether you have a dedicated room to transform into a home office, or a smaller space in an already functioning room, there are solutions for both! Our flooring feature looks at lots of stylish solutions, from tiles and laminate to wood, carpet and rugs, sure to make a statement! We also take a look at some fabulous kitchen islands from designers around Ireland, as it continues to be the most sought after component of a kitchen. Our kitchen appliances feature brings a selection of the latest fridge freezers too.
Our homes this issue take us far and wide! We visit Gary and Bonnie, trustees of Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum, who also happen to be friends of my wife, Audrey. They invited us into their stunning home in Fort Lauderdale. In Belfast, Patricia shows us around her beautifully transformed 1960s home that her mother first came across, and further south in Kildare, Jennie has renovated her home and turned it into a stunningly fresh, traditional style abode.
The issue regulars have us traveling around the Irish heartlands, and abroad we are off to the cultural hub of Morocco! Our cookery pages offer a display of mouth watering Indian dishes from the cookbook Masala, and last but not least, our gardening expert, Deirdre talks to us about gardening in a drought.
