Bespoke Charm
Recently, Simon and Patricia have extended and renovated the back of their house, which now boasts a stunning kitchen from Wilson’s Yard within a larger open-plan living and dining area.As Patricia explains, ‘The kitchen was half the size it is now. We extended and created an open-plan space to include the adjacent family room. My brother, David Henderson, is a builder and he did a great job. We also sympathetically replaced our old sash windows in this part of the house.
‘We have a traditional home and like to keep this feel throughout the house, so it was on a trip to Wilson’s Yard to pick an original parquet flooring for our bedroom that I fell in love with this kitchen design. I had looked at other traditional kitchen designs, but when I saw this one on display in their showroom I knew Wilson’s Yard, and in turn, Nigel Wilson, could help me achieve my dream kitchen, which is now a family-friendly open-plan space that we can all be in together.
