Stunning Simplicity

When this Dublin homeowner renovated her kitchen, she had a clear vision inspired by her twelve years in Australia. She combined her love for minimalist interiors with Scandinavian design to create a streamlined yet beautifully warm aesthetic.

The vision of a Scandi-minimalist theme, designed to maximise both functionality and light, was brought to life in this beautiful home with the expertise of Claire Shiels from Shiels and Co. The result is a space the homeowner truly loves. ‘I wanted the kitchen to be minimalist and functional,’ she begins. ‘Living in Australia influenced my style. We rented a lot of apartments and I loved the light and the simplicity of their kitchens but I also love Scandinavian design so I decided on a mix of both, with neither style being too dominant.’
