Luxury Meets Nature

In South Dublin, this beautiful kitchen by Kerwood Design has breathed new life into a home that has been a cherished residence for over 35 years.

The homeowners bought their house in 1986 as a semi-detached dormer bungalow, which they merged with the neighbouring house twenty years ago to create a more spacious detached home with a larger garden. While their old country teak kitchen was on trend all those years ago, the couple felt it was time for a complete overhaul. ‘With rising fuel costs and a very cold house with an outdated kitchen and inefficient appliances, our objective was to make the house sustainable, warm, and eco-friendly,’ says the homeowner. ‘The old presses and appliances had run their course, and we wanted a brighter kitchen with natural oak and hand-painted detail to integrate it into the natural theme we envisioned for the renovation.’
