Nice And Easy
Convenience, café culture and class – the seaside city of Nice has it all in abundance as Marty O’Neill discovers.
Christmas is now a distant memory and, if you’re anything like me, your wandering feet are getting itchy for a cheeky getaway or long weekend of exploring. If you don’t want the usual city break and it’s too early in the year to consider a week off work then Nice in France might be just the location for you. The Côte d’Azur, with its sparkling Mediterranean coastline, is less than 90 minutes flying time from Dublin and has so much to offer so many. Explore for days or just mosey around and do very little other than some general sightseeing. It’s France for goodness sake! Like many, I’m more than happy with a simple sharing board of local cheese, freshly baked baguette, some salty French butter and a cold crisp local white wine in front of me on most Gallic trips.Read more in the March issue…
