Living room styles these days are all about mix matching and getting bolder with your colour choices. Choosing a brightly coloured sofa or armchair is a fantastic way to add character to your living space, and there are options in every shade in a variety of shapes and sizes. What is really on trend at the moment, is boldly coloured velvet. This works in both a classic or contemporary home setting. You don’t have to go for bright colours though, with soft, chalky hues being a popular choice but still veering away from more ‘safe’ shades.

Mix matching is simple with a little guidance, and it makes for a fantastic way of adding your own personal touch to the space. You can go for complementing colours, or the same colour in different shades. It is also a nice idea to add different textures and patterns into the mix to add more interest. There is no real cookie-cut way to do it, so get creative and go with what you like.
