In rural Kilkenny, Christine’s cottage is a family treasure brought back to life through a labour of love.
Over 100 years old, this charming home once housed Christine’s father and his siblings. Left idle for years, the decision to renovate and extend the property came when Christine and her husband discovered they were expecting their second child. ‘We always had it in the back of our minds to move back,’ Christine says. ‘After my second daughter was born in 2019, we began working with an architect, but Covid delayed things, so the process took about two and a half years.
