Debbie and Robert’s home, Grace Cottage, reflects both their warmth as hosts and their deep connection to family, especially during the festive season.

The one-storey, 4.500-square-foot cottage in Greyabbey holds a profound sense of place, enriched by a family’s personal touches, beautiful decor, and the memory of their granddaughter, Grace, after whom the cottage is lovingly named. The couple moved into the property four years ago, and over the span of 3.5 years, they transformed it into the beautiful home it is today. The renovation project, which began during the COVID pandemic, became a lifeline for Debbie and Robert. ‘It kept us going during Covid. We love living here,’ Debbie begins. The decision to move to a one-storey home was primarily to accommodate Robert’s mobility, especially his knees. ‘It’s easier for me now, no stairs to worry about,’ Robert explained. The home boasts stunning views, something the couple appreciate every day.
