Timeless Blossoms

Imagine a bouquet that never wilts, a carefully crafted arrangement of natural beauty that lasts through the seasons. Dried flowers and foliage are having a bit of a renaissance. Not only can these everlasting arrangements bring a bit of long-lasting colour to the home, but growing the plants yourself adds a personal touch and allows for an endless supply of stunning dried flowers.

The key to creating bouquets that will stand the test of time lies in choosing plants with qualities that lend themselves well to drying: structure, colour, and longevity. Flowers with sturdy petals and foliage that holds its shape and colour work best, as do deep reds and purples, whereas white blooms can sometimes go brown. So not all plants will fit the bill, so it’s often a case of a bit of trial and error.
