My Favourite Room
Author Peggy Bell shows us around the kitchen of her Victorian terrace home in Bangor.
I am Peggy Bell, author of Head Letterbox, a memoir which explores generational trauma and life’s big questions. I live in a Victorian terrace overlooking Ballyholme Bay in Bangor, NI, with my husband Phil, our children Sia (11) and Ben (8) and our two dogs, Barney and Teddy. I love my kitchen. It is situated at the front of the house, which is unusual but really works well – I can enjoy the view of the bay whether I am working in the kitchen or relaxing with a cuppa. I love being curled up with a book on the sofa in the evening, basking in the warm glow of sunset. Bonus points for the sound of the dishwasher running and the smell of the bread maker baking while I relax and let the mod cons do the hard work!Read more in the August issue…
