Carol’s young family simply grew out of their old home. ‘We had bought it in 2004, a contemporary open-plan new-build in Dublin. I was pregnant with Molly at the time, and once she was born we quickly discovered that open-plan living does not work particularly well with children; that is unless you are willing to spend most of your time tidying toys away,’ says Carol. ‘Then when the twins were born in 2011, we knew we had to move!’
