Family Home Crafted By Family

Michelle and Barry’s new build home is the result of familial creativity and collaboration. Enlisting the expertise of their talented family members, they embarked on a journey to curate a modern home infused with tradition.

When this family decided to move from their 1950s Letterkenny home, they had a fresh template from which to create the perfect living space. ‘It’s a new build,’ homeowner Michelle begins, recalling the journey that led to their dream home. ‘We moved in at the end of August 2022. The design was a real family affair.’ Her sister Breege Galbraith, now at the helm of her late father’s MGA Architect business, took charge. ‘Breege’s vision brought together modern aesthetics with touches of tradition,’ Michelle explains. ‘I always wanted Dad to design a home for me, but Breege did him proud.’ Michelle’s brother-in-law Jamie and his family, from Seamus Friel and Sons, built the property, ‘So you could say I was safely led along the way,’ she continues.
