In Youghal, Co Cork, this stunning property marries history, heritage, and modern luxury. Originally a former army barracks and the family home of Champion Jockey Davy Russell, it has been transformed by Arlene McIntyre Design.

A 5,500-square-foot property, this home embodies luxury while honouring a storied past. Having served as the childhood home of Davy Russell and his siblings, it’s a family heirloom. His father, Jerry, resided here long after the children had grown up and moved out. The house, which sits on the family farm where Davy breeds horses, eventually became less suited to Jerry’s needs. Around the same time, Davy and his family were contemplating building a new house nearby. It was then that Jerry suggested renovating the old family home instead.
