A Little Bit of History
Lucy and her family have spent years enjoying their home away from home in Cahersiveen, which they have been lovingly restoring, and in turn, preserving for years to come.
This restored property located in the centre of the town of Cahersiveen, situated on ‘The Ring of Kerry’ on the south west coast of Ireland is the holiday home of Lucy, her siblings and parents. However, passionate about promoting the town and encouraging younger generations to travel and spend time here, pre-pandemic, Lucy, who is a advocate for the arts, sustainability and rural Ireland, was also using the property, known as The Old Monastry Cahersiveen, which can sleep up to 16 people, as a self-catered rental or be run as a serviced guest house, allowing Lucy the chance to work and enjoy her the summer months in Cahersiveen and at the same time bring tourists to one of Ireland’s westernmost towns.Read more in the May issue…
