Bringing home the Gold!

Ian Price, along with his sponsor idverde, is the man behind the first gold winning garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show from Northern Ireland in over 30 years. His garden, Mind Trap is so much more than a winning garden though.

I always dreamed of exhibiting at Chelsea,’ says Ian. ‘At age 14 I was watching the show at home with my parents and I just remember thinking – I could do that! Preparation for Chelsea actually began in early 2016.’

RHS Chelsea is one of the world’s most well-renowned and prestigious Flower Shows, with rigorous judging criteria requiring absolute attention to detail in the realisation of designs through precision construction and the careful selection of the very best specimens of appropriate plant specimens. To achieve a Gold Medal at RHS Chelsea Flower Show is considered to be a pinnacle achievement for any garden designer.
