Make a Splash

Transform your bathroom by adding colour! A strong colour scheme will lend itself to creative patterns and textures in terms of bathroom furniture, taps, sinks, tiles and paint; all will create a striking bathroom aesthetic.

The trend this last several years has been grey and muted backgrounds with splashes of accented colour,’ says Martin Mallon for Armatile tiles. ‘We now find stronger, bolder surfaces starting to emerge, particularly greens and blues. At the most recent Cersaie World Tile Fair held in Bologna, Italy the desire to bring nature into the home was unmistakeably the leading trend among tile manufacturers. Many new organic, nature-themed ranges with leafy plant prints were prevalent on displays, and these were combined with soft ivory and light cream tones providing comforting warmth. Alongside this, small format tiles in herringbone patterns were heavily utilised for proliferations of colour that were bursting out to create eye-catching wall and floor features with the sole aim of energising homeowners who wish to personalise their interior design spaces.
