August 2015 – Issue 242
As we move toward the middle of the summer we can only hope for more lovely weather to enjoy at home, and with that in mind we bring you our Garden Special in our August issue. There are inspirational gardens a-plenty in this issue, from those on show at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, to some a little closer to home as we chat to the gardeners responsible for looking after Glenarm Castle gardens and Mount Congreve in Waterford. You can browse our selection of garden ornaments and accessories to add some character to your outdoor space. And, we also bring you lots of advice, from caring for your lawn and selecting either a patio or decking, to growing your own vegetables at home and getting the most out of vertical space! Moving indoors we have a bathroom feature which offers up contemporary inspiration for this room; modern style is no longer just reserved for the living areas of the home!We venture abroad this month for our readers’ homes, from Frank and Sofie’s modern Copenhagen property full of contrasts to Marc and Michael’s home away from home in the hills of San Augusti, Ibiza and last but not least, a striking New York apartment designed and decorated by interior designer Claire McGovern.
For our reader’s kitchen this issue Anne welcomes us to her stunning custom built kitchen by Andrew Ryan Furniture in her beautiful period property in Dublin, which is full of functional storage.
Our travel features take us to the Caribbean Island of Jamaica, full of cultural charm and stunning beaches, and closer to home we visit the popular coastal town of Malahide, County Dublin.
For delicious snacks and lunch ideas make sure and check out the recipes this issue brought to you by Yellow Door who have recently unveiled their new restaurant, Native at the MAC, Belfast.
