Style on a Shoestring

With a tight budget Kelly used her creativity to update the décor and furnish her home in Arklow.

When Kelly first moved into this bungalow in the pretty seaside town of Arklow, it was a far cry from the colourful, playful home it now is. ‘This house was in the perfect location for me, a stone’s throw from the sea and near my son’s school and close to family and friends,’ explains Kelly. ‘The house, however, was very dated and unloved and not to my taste at all, but I could see past the dark décor, the orange carpet in the sitting room and the mauve bathroom, it needed uplifting.’
