North Coast

The North Coast of Ireland has been prized with being one of the most beautiful routes to drive in the entire world. This coastline offers an abundance of things to see and do for the whole family, so why not pack up the car and take this iconic route for yourself.

Things to See and Do

Being a relatively small area, you can surely fit in most of the key sights and attractions around the north coast in a day if you have a car. Public transport is a little bit patchy in this area though, but there are buses available along this route in the summer months. To really get the most out of this part or our island, it is ideal to take a long weekend and really enjoy it. Why not start your coastal journey by driving through the Glens of Antrim, a picturesque collection of valleys that stretch to the coast. A drive through the Glens is truly breathtaking, and you can stop along the way in one of the seaside towns, such as Cushendall, Cushendun, Ballycastle or Waterfoot. Onwards, you can stop off at the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, a 90-foot high bridge that stretches across a 65-foot gap from the mainland to a small island.
