Crafting Elegance
In Bangor, Co. Down, this exquisite family home bears the hallmark of meticulous craftsmanship, courtesy of Belfast’s esteemed Atelier Interior Design. Every corner of this home has been beautifully curated thanks to bespoke joinery and custom-crafted furnishings.
A relaxed, timeless look to cater to family life made up the bulk of the brief in this Bangor four-bed new build, Victor Branco designer, and owner of Atelier Interior Design tells Ireland’s Homes Interiors & Living. ‘Our clients gave us creative freedom for this project; their only brief was for an elegant, relaxed family home for a young family. They wanted a smart and elegant home that wasn’t overly difficult to maintain,’ he begins. ‘They wanted it to be an elegant home, yet one which was still suitable for a young and energetic family.’ Stepping over the threshold into the property, visitors are enveloped by a sense of warmth that runs throughout the entire home. Victor continues, ‘We wanted the overall scheme for the full home to feel timeless, warm and inviting. We used a warm neutral colour scheme which flows throughout the house. We used an elegant soft grey-washed oak plank engineered floor from Murdock Hardwood throughout the ground floor and carpet on the upper floors. The bow-fronted narrow console table and mirror in this space were custom-made and are finished in deep bronze and Monaco grey stone. The striking pendant lights with an antique gold finish framing a neutral linen lampshade add soft texture and detail to the hallway. Ceiling pendants and table lamps are by Heathfield.’Read more in the June issue…
