New Design Talent

Inspiration from Ireland’s best and brightest upcoming young interior designers for anyone planning a bathroom makeover.

Sonas Bathrooms and TU Dublin (Technological University Dublin) recently announced the winners of the Sonas Bathrooms 2023 Bathroom Design of the Year. Six student designs were highly commended and these are all looks that could be recreated by anyone planning a new bathroom. The overall winner is Anna Szwagrzyk from Blanchardstown, followed by Niamh Tighe of Knocklyon in second place, and Georgia Robinson from Bray, in third. Three further designs from Niamh Mynes, Isobel McMahon and Nicholas Conneally were commended. Students of the Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Design, which is led by one of Ireland’s best known interior designers Dr. Neville Knott, were tasked to create a luxury bathroom for a contemporary hotel and they certainly did not disappoint. Third year award-winning students, received a certificate along with a cash prize. The overall winning design will be brought to life in a Sonas Studio display at one of the Sonas Retailers.
