A Hotel For All Seasons

We recently enjoyed a refreshing weekend break at The Dunadry Hotel and Gardens. Built in the grounds of an old mill, we arrived for a two night stay at the hotel leaving ourselves with plenty of time to check in, and take time to relax in our room before making our way to the Copper Bar for a pre dinner drink. From the moment we walked into the hotel, the sense of history and heritage was palpable. The friendly staff were able to tell us a little about the history of the interior detail – the walls are lined with signed champagne corks from the weddings that have been celebrated here; the winding staircase is held up by a giant wooden beetling from the linen mill that used to stand on this very spot; the fireplace, which was salvaged from Antrim Castle, stands next to a pre-WWI Steinway piano, which has been played in the lobby for decades.Read more in the May issue…
