Bed Time

In honour of National Bed Month which takes place each March, we look at a range of different bed frames and offer some points of consideration before you invest in a new one.

While you might hanker after a large, luxurious bed frame and headboard, if your room is too small, then a big bed will just overwhelm the space. Yes, it’s the main event, but the base of the bed (aim for about two feet of walking space around your bed) and the height of the headboard need to be in proportion within the space available and leave room to easily access any wardrobes and drawers within the room. If space isn’t a concern, consider how many people (and pets!) will use the bed and make sure you have one big enough to fit everyone comfortably, especially if you tend to move around a lot in your sleep!
