Leading international interior designer Arlene McIntyre, Creative Director of Ventura Design, works with different sized homes, different sized budgets, different sized personalities and different design challenges to show that design is not only accessible – but can enhance how we live in our homes.
What To Expect
As we were able to see tonight in this new interior series, Arlene meets the clients, hears their aspirations and their budget. Then we follow the interior design process of creating a bespoke solution for the homeowners’ needs.
In this first episode, the Smyth family in Clontarf called on Arlene to transform their unused ‘dump room’ into a functional and stylish home office and their living room with its acorn patterned wallpaper into a relaxing adult space.
As this example showed, we demand more from our spaces now than ever before. Light, furnishing, colour, texture can all have huge impact. When a room is both functional and beautiful, it enriches our lives.
Arlene is hugely passionate about design and the transformative effects it can have. She is confident that regardless of scale or budget, universal design principles can transform problematic pads into heavenly homes.
Top Tips
Every week features a Tips section presented by Arlene’s charismatic Project Manager, Spaniard Zara Leon. Tips like colour choices, fabric selection, upcycling and furniture layout will provide great takeaway advice. Zara’s passion for interior design is clearly evident in this informative section of the programme.
