The owners of this 1960s bungalow in Dublin have given this once run-down property a new lease of life, renovating, extending and transforming it.

nestled in a quiet leafy crescent in Clonskeagh in the south of Dublin, the owners of this five bedroom detached dormer bungalow were drawn to it because of its location and its enormous potential. ‘We liked the idea of tackling a renovation project and creating a home which is designed just the way we wanted it, so were not at all phased by the challenge that lay ahead,’ explain the couple.

When they purchased the house back in 2015, it was very run down and uninhabitable. They decided to embark on a huge renovation project, gutting the entire building, digging down the floor levels and also extending it. ‘We replaced all the windows, the plumbing, and completely rewired and insulated the whole house. We also had the opportunity to lower the floor level creating higher ceilings that give the house a greater feeling of space.’
