Cooling continues to improve in response to demand for features and functions that will help preserve food for longer, which will reduce the amount of food waste that is generated. Features have evolved to include three-dimensional air circulation, which will cool everything evenly and moves the cool air around the compartment helping to maintain a consistent temperature throughout. Energy efficiency is key with cooling products as the fridge freezer is switched on 24-hours a day. Older, less energy efficient cooling appliances can use up to 25 per cent of a household electricity bill and the cost of electricity is on the increase so consumers are looking for models with an energy rating of A or higher. People are becoming increasingly worried about the cost of their energy bills, which has led to energy efficiency playing a much bigger part in the buying decision of household appliances than ever before.
